Supervision

As well as leadership coaching, I offer one-to-one and group supervision to independent coaches and in-house coaching teams.

It’s vital that coaches meet the high standards of the ethical and competence frameworks that guide our industry. Regular supervision is an essential part of coaching practice.

I supervised the in-house coaching team at the British Heart Foundation and have worked with independent and in-house coaches in the commercial, public and voluntary sectors.

I hold an ESQA Certificate in Coaching Supervision and am currently studying for a Diploma in Coaching Supervision with The OCM Group.

I couldn’t be happier working with Carolan. We were very quickly able to build rapport and I found our sessions very useful. Carolan has a quiet and supportive style asking both pertinent and thought-provoking questions, that challenged my preconceptions at just the right time. Carolan established a strong sense of safety and security in our meetings, but was still able to appropriately create the sense of accountability that I needed for my self-reflections to learn and grow. I can fully endorse Carolan’s competence and would heartily recommend her to others.

I had several one-to-one supervision sessions with Carolan and felt comfortable with her from the outset. She put me at ease and created a safe space for me to discuss my thoughts and concerns. Her demeanour as a supervisor was perfect – supportive and encouraging whilst also providing the right amount of challenge. I found our sessions both enjoyable and useful and had a couple of breakthroughs while working with her. I would happily recommend her to anyone looking for supervision.

Carolan created a really relaxed environment where people were able to share and open up. She was even handed in ensuring everyone had a chance to speak, both about their experiences and in asking questions of others. She asked really incisive questions herself and shared helpful insights. I found her attitude to us developing our own coaching style and there being no rule book was really reassuring and empowering. I came out of it feeling more confident in my own style and trusting in my instincts more. A big thanks to Carolan for her support.
